February 2nd is National Letter of Intent Day, otherwise known as The Day The Verbals Die. It's also the day when Rivals, Scout and Orange Fizz spontaneously combust.
And its the day when THE PINSTRIPE BOWL CHAMPION Syracuse Orange football team gets a little bit better. When (hopefully) all of these fine fellas put pen to paper, don their finest SU cap, pose for awkward photos with their parents and high school coaches and begin their quest for orange-y greatness.
Doug Marrone will be hanging out on NLI Day and he'd very much like it if you were there too. He'd like to have a word with you about that thing you posted on the syracuse.com forums. That and he wants to tell you about his new class of Orange.
Marrone and the other coaches will be chillin' out at Manley Field House talking about the 2011 Class and you're invited. The event begins at 5 p.m. EST. Come for the exciting chatter about the future of Syracuse football, stay for the food and refreshments. And of course, you'll have a chance to buy season tickets for the 2011 season.
To be there you'll have to RSVP and you can do that here. But don't blame me if you walk in there and Scott Shafer decides the best way to show you what he means by an "attacking" style of defense is to have to pretend to be a quarterback while Mikhail Marinovich runs full-speed towards you. That's just his way.
