Ishaq Williams remains a free agent but Syracuse Football just received confirmations from two extremely solid recruits Wednesday night. Giddy The F Up.

Brandon Reddish, a 5-foot-11, 182-pound wide receiver from Fort Hamilton High School in Brooklyn and defensive back Shutang (Shoe-tang) Mungwa (6-1, 190) from Bergen Catholic in Oradell, N.J., made oral commitments to accept a scholarship offer from SU and enroll in the fall. While SU coaches wait to hear whether five-star All-America defensive end Ishaq Williams of Lincoln High in Brooklyn chooses SU over Penn State and Notre Dame, they were surely excited to have Reddish and Mungwa in the fold.

Reddish was probably the most coveted recruit this side of Ishaq Williams. He gets three stars from Scout and Rivals and chose the Orange over offers from Penn State, West Virginia, UConn, Rutgers, Boston College, Maryland and Virginia. That, my friends, is a win.

Reddish caught 30 passes for 763 yards and 12 touchdowns as a junior and was named Class AA First-Team as a senior.

Along with Reddish, the Orange received a verbal from Shutang Mungwa. Mungwa had previously committed to Stanford but was not academically-eligible. While Syracuse wasn't his top choice, we were right behind Stanford on the list.

"I actually didn't get into Stanford and I just found out. To be honest with you, Syracuse was always 1-A," Mungwa said. " With Stanford, how can you pass up that education? Another opportunity opened up at Syracuse and I am very excited about it."

He also had offers from Louisville and AKRON (!!!). He and Jarrod West will have a lot to talk about as West went the same Stanford-to-Syracuse route.

Mungwa is considered a three-star recruit by Scout while Rivals considers him two-star. The safety has been considered a "violent" hitter, something that will come in very handy.

Rahme says "it is believed that the Orange only has three or four openings remaining." We know about Williams and apparently 4-star defensive tackle Kevin McReynolds is near the top of the list as well.

Good work everyone. Well, mostly the Syracuse recruiters, but...you did well too.
