Syracuse vs. Akron: TV Update

I'll tread lightly here, lest I want another message board screeding...

So I spoke with someone afilliated with ESPN3 today and he cleared up a little bit of the confusion over whether or not everyone can watch the game online.

ESPN3.com is the only place to watch Syracuse vs. Akron this Saturday, September 4 at 6:00 p.m. ET.

ESPN3.com will be broadcasting the game live from InfoCision Stadium-Summa Field with complete coverage of the game from start to finish.

The network is available at no additional cost to fans who receive their high-speed Internet connection from an affiliated service provider, and is currently available in more than 53 million homes – a majority of U.S. broadband homes. For a full list, click here.

As for the whole "watching the game in the bar" issue, you're kinda on your own to find one that can possibly do it.

Here in Seattle I'm on the hunt.  I've spoken to a few bars but so far the best answer I've gotten is "I might be able to show it but I won't know until Friday."  All depends on the TV schedule they get.  So there you go.

Seattle folks, the best options I've come up with are Sport RestaurantFOX Sports GrillJillians and RockSport.  They're all large places, which isn't ideal, but the only ones likely enough to get the signal AND have a TV available to show it. I'll know more Friday, though feel free to reach out to anyone else and see what you find.  Worst case scenario is that we all gather at a sports bar with Wi-Fi and huddle over my laptop.  It has come to that, Syracuse.

Of course, keep in mind we're all going to have to do this again for the Colgate game.  As for other games, the good news for folks in the NYC area is that SNY will be carrying a whole bunch of SU games, all of their Big East ones to be specific.  Check the schedule here.
