Daily Links - Delone's Day In Court

SU running back Delone Carter due back in Syracuse City Court this afternoon | syracuse.com
The 1:30 p.m. appearance may or may not move the case along. Any action would depend on whether Carter's attorneys were able to reach any agreement with the District Attorney's Office.

Face It, Marrone Screwed Up | Otto's Army
Yes, Marrone will be there every step of the way, but he obviously felt like he was spreading himself too thin and not giving proper time to the other areas that require his attention. Kudos for him to realize now, too bad it wasn’t a few months ago. To say that Hackett had somehow proven himself as a play caller in the spring game is like saying I am coaching material because of my play calling in NCAA 2011 on Playstation. Calling a play against your own defense, in a quiet stadium is not the same as 3rd and 3 late in a close game in Morgantown (I can dream, can’t I?)

Big East Media Days with the Fizz! : Orange Fizz – Syracuse Recruiting, Sports Rumors, Podcasts, Student Life
Starting today, D.A. (complete with top hat) and Teddy Conroy will be lurking in Newport, Rhode Island – site of the sh*ts and giggles that accompany the annual conference media gathering.

Promise and pain were Syracuse University football player Jared Kimmel's constant partners | syracuse.com
What a tough break for Jared and the Orange. On paper, SU still has four defensive ends returning with game experience – Mikhail Marinovich, Chandler Jones, Torrey Ball and Brandon Sharpe. Yet, I thought Kimmel was the best run-stopping end on the team. At 6-6 and 259 pounds he commanded extra attention from opposing offenses. He will be missed.

His Hall of Fame day may be a little late, but Floyd Little will soon sit in Canton with football's giants | syracuse.com
"I can’t wait to get back to Syracuse," he said the other day. "It will feel absolutely fantastic for me to be introduced in the Carrier Dome as a Pro Football Hall of Famer. I can hear it now: ‘This is our newest Pro Football Hall of Fame inductee. Please welcome . . . Floyd Little!’ My God, that will be unbelievable. Absolutely unbelievable."

Key stretch: Louisville - Big East Blog - ESPN
The Syracuse-Louisville game has basically been a toss-up the past three years, with the Cardinals breaking a two-game losing streak last season with an ugly home win. Even though it's on the road, this year's game provides one of the few conference contests where Louisville will have nearly equal talent as its opponent.

Nassib to...Tribbey for the touchdown?  Sure.
