They've got a quarterback who is among the favorites to win the Heisman trophy (in a tie for fourth place behind Alabama's Mark Ingram, Ohio State's Terrell Pryor, and Arkansas quarterback Ryan Mallett). They return an 1,100 rusher in Chris Polk and their top receiver in Jermaine Kearse. More concerning is that signal-caller Jake Locker is a mobile quarterback, the kind that can make big plays out of broken ones.

My dream of an open air stadium on South Campus isn’t going to happen, and I can live with that, but the Carrier Dome needs an overhaul. They need to add some warmth in the corridors. They need to improve the subpar concessions, consider replacing the benches with seats, HD video screens and an official Syracuse merchandise store. Club 4-4 is a start but it’s a small step, not a leap.

Carmelo Anthony reportedly will not sign extension with Nuggets, prefers New York as destination
Anthony, who was born in Brooklyn, has told close associates that New York is his preferred destination, although the Knicks will face stiff competition from the Bulls, Magic and Jay-Z's Nets. The Knicks are confident that they can sign Anthony outright next summer. According to a team source, Isiah Thomas has assured Garden chairman James Dolan that Anthony told him he intends to sign with the Knicks.
