When Cameron Was In Egypt's Land...Let My Cameron Go (To Syracuse)

Rumor has it that Cameron Lynch, the linebacker from Snellville, GA, wasn't sure which school to go to.  He received a call from Doug Marrone asking him to choose SU.  When Cameron was undecided, Marrone called again.  When Cameron still hadn't decided what to do, Marrone called again.  This apparently went on for weeks until the following happened earlier today:

And now he's with Syracuse, according to Nolan.

Cameron Lynch, a 5-foot-11, 220-pound linebacker from Snellville, Ga., has made a verbal commitment to play football for Syracuse University.

Lynch, who'll be a senior at Brookwood High School, is listed as a three-star recruit by the Web site Rivals.com. He was recruited by a number of schools besides Syracuse, receiving offers from Air Force, Vanderbilt, Harvard and Akron.

Again with the Akron!  Syracuse is single-handidly destroying the Akron program from a recruiting standpoint.  Which is tremendous. (And Harvard?  La di da...)

Scout says Lynch committed after having a good visit to campus a few weeks ago.  Here's what they had to say about him as a player.

Lynch plays outside linebacker for his Brookwood team, and he's a very good tackler in space. He is strong enough to move inside where his height might not be as big of a liability. He is an instinctive player that would be an asset agaisnt a spread option as he makes good reads and can accelerate in tight spaces well

As a junior, Lynch had 135 tackles, four sacks and an interception.
