Mavs shy on big men in summer camp, but help on the way | Dallas Mavericks Blog | Sports News | News for Dallas, Texas | The Dallas Morning News
The good news for the Mavericks is that help is on the way. DeShawn Sims, a 6-8 power forward from Michigan and Darryl Watkins, a 6-11 former Syracuse player, are expected to join the Mavericks in Las Vegas. Watkins played last night for Indiana's summer league team in Orlando.

Ask The Army: Who Will Be The Syracuse Defensive MVP? | Otto's Army
Shamarko Thomas is my pick for the Syracuse football 2010-11 defensive MVP. In a freshman season that saw him play all over the field (starting at linebacker, corner and safety), Shamarko made enough of an impact to be lauded as one of the Big East’s best rookies. Expect him to improve this year and become a legitimate defensive stalwart – the Orange will need it.

Don’t Discount Terrel Hunt | Otto's Army
I don’t think that Terrel Hunt will ever play QB in the Carrier Dome, but I respect Marrone for giving him the opportunity to do so. Hunt plays in an option system because he is very likely the best and most capable player on a 1-8 team. Had Hunt been born in Florida or Texas or California, he likely would have been lining up at WR since his first growth spurt. With years of polish and his natural size, Hunt could have grown up to be a 3 or 4 star recruit, who knows.

(Casullo) had a couple other kids he was looking at and was very honest with us and said that he was going to take his time and try to find the best punter he could. And then at the last camp he took the guys that he felt comfortable with had them compete, and Jonathan won out," Palone said.

Problems That Must Be Addressed For a Successful Big East Expansion | Bleacher Report
While the current Big East status quo does not maximize football revenue, it does a fairly good job of maximizing basketball revenue. Either half of the Big East would be losing much of that in a split conference scenario, with neither half likely to be able to offset that lost revenue.
