The "Final Four" of the 2010 Legends Classic was already a foregone conclusion. Syracuse, Georgia Tech, Michigan and UTEP will play at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City on Nov. 26-27 to decide once and for all which is the greatest basketball program of all time. But before those four schools get there, they need to fight their way through two lesser programs on their home floor. Even then, they could lose by 50 to both of them and still advance. So...yeah.
For the Orange, it will be Detroit and William & Mary that visit the Dome for the regional round on November 16th and 21st, respectively.
Albany and Niagara are in the tournament, but they're oddly playing in Atlanta instead of the nearby Dome. Fine, be like that.
Syracuse is 3-1 all-time against Detroit, most recently winning 93-79 in 1980. The House That Dick Vitale Built finished last season 20-14, their first 20-win season since 2000-01.
William & Mary is coming off a 22-11 seaons that resulted in an NIT berth. As far as I can tell we've never played before.
