(That headline's gonna take a few seconds...don't worry...I'll wait...)

Florida's Harmon Brown, all 5'8" and 152 pounds of him, will commit to Syracuse to play football here in 2011.  Consider the Florida floodgates officially open.

Mark Stampini, expert on all things regarding football recruiting in South Florida, tell me things!

Harmon Brown a cornerback from Boyd Anderson HS, in Fort Lauderdale, FL has committed to Syracuse!

Harmon Brown talked to Coach Shafer last night and told him he was committing. Today Brown talked with head coach Doug Marrone.

Brown is a three-star player according to Rivals.  He chose Syracuse over offers from Wisconsin, Wake Forest, New Mexico State and FIU (but no Akron).   Here's what ESPN has to say about him:

Brown may be little but he flashes good cover corner quickness and skill-set. Small in stature and lack of height is a concern on the perimeter but he's a great competitor with quick and fluid movement skills. Needs a bit of technical polish but has a tight pedal, fluid hips/turns...

ESPN's Gerry Hamilton says Brown "is not only one of the top corners in Florida, but he is also one of the top defenders, period."  Check out some highlights of Brown here and get ready for SU to add yet another quality weapon to the burgeoning Orange secondary.
