The maturation of Syracuse lacrosse true freshman midfielder/attackman JoJo Marasco continued in Monday's 20-6 victory over Villanova, a good sign for the long-term health of a team that has won two consecutive national titles and is 38-5 since the start of the 2008 season.

Marasco, who seemed a little lost in the first several games of the season, scored a big goal in SU's 10-7 victory at Johns Hopkins on March 20, then played a pivotal role in the team's come-from-behind 9-8 OT victory at Hobart three days later, scoring a career-high three points (2 goals, 1 assist). Monday, he took another step forward with career highs in points (5) and assists (4).
