Nicole "Slinky" Michael, the most prolific scorer and rebounder in Syracuse women’s basketball history, has received All-American honorable mention recognition from the Associated Press.

Syracuse lacrosse freshman's progression continued in Villanova victory |
The maturation of Syracuse lacrosse true freshman midfielder/attackman JoJo Marasco continued in Monday's 20-6 victory over Villanova, a good sign for the long-term health of a team that has won two consecutive national titles and is 38-5 since the start of the 2008 season.

Marasco, who seemed a little lost in the first several games of the season, scored a big goal in SU's 10-7 victory at Johns Hopkins on March 20, then played a pivotal role in the team's come-from-behind 9-8 OT victory at Hobart three days later, scoring a career-high three points (2 goals, 1 assist). Monday, he took another step forward with career highs in points (5) and assists (4).

The eighth-ranked Syracuse women lacrosse team looks to continue its winning ways when it plays at No. 18 Boston University at 1 p.m. on Saturday in Boston, Mass. The Orange enters the game with an overall record of 5-3, 1-0 in BIG EAST Conference play, while the Terriers are 5-5 overall, 1-0 in America East Conference action.
