Daily Links - Final Thoughts On SU's Win

SU-Vermont Recap |
It wasn't quite sweet revenge as that day in Worcester, Massachusetts in March of 2005 will always occupy a dark spot in the memory of Syracuse basketball fans, but Wes Johnson, Scoop Jardine, Kris Joseph, and company did what they needed to do to help us all move past the memories of Taylor Coppenrath, T.J. Sorrentine, and Tom Brennan with a 79-56 win over the Catamounts in first round action of the NCAA Tournament in Buffalo, NY.

In those minutes following Syracuse University’s 79-56 opening-round conquest of Vermont in the NCAA Tournament on Friday night — and after Triche had scored 10 points and collected a couple of assists in 23 solid minutes — he heaved a sigh of relief. "Better," Triche said with the faintest of smiles, "than nothing."
