President Obama might not have faith in "Sycasuse," but Vice-President Joe Biden certainly does.
Biden, who graduated from Syracuse Law School, said he has Syracuse going all the way.
"You got to go with your heart," he said in our exclusive interview in Durham, NC today. "They ended the conference badly. I think we're going to be OK."
Of course, the big question going into tonight's game with Vermont continues to be about the big men. Namely the one not playing and the ones that are. As for Rick Jackson...he's ready and he's not worried.
"Maybe a ‘16’ team will beat a ‘1’ team some day," declared Jackson, the 6-foot-9 junior forward, prior to SU’s light workout before a few thousand fans inside the home of the Buffalo Sabres. "But it won’t be this ‘1’ team right here. I’ll tell you that much. Those guys are going to be pumped up, but they won’t be more pumped up than us."
"They say great teams don’t lose three games in a row, and we’ve lost two, so . . . "
Vermont bulletin boards...GO!
RickJack also mentioned that practice has been intense this week for SU. They've also been full of rim-damaging dunks.
