The Pinstripe Bowl is less than a week away & if you are unable to attend & have already taken off of work on Dec. 30th for the 3:30 kickoff than here are some recommended Orange items to help enhance your Pinstripe Party!
1) Orange Tableware
Everything including cups, plates, napkins & cutlery should be orange
We are not fortunate (yet) to have this, but make sure this is nowhere to be found at your party:
2) Beverages
Non-Alcoholic:
Orange Soda – any will do (Orange Crush is the most inspirational)
Orange Juice (No pulp) & even Orange Drink (NO PURPLE DRINK)
Alcoholic:
Mimosa’s are ok if you’re starting early
Syracuse Pale Ale
Sparks, orange can w/Orange Energy
4 Loko if it’s not banned where you live get the orange cans & drink w/caution
Alize Gold Passion
Seagrams Bahama Mama (for the ladies)
4 Orange Vodka (Obviously)
Three Olives Rangtang – should become the official SU drink b/c it’s Orange!

When looking for orange ideas I came across "Gwen’s Healing Garden"
Orange Coloured Foods By Gwen Nyhus Stewart
Orange is the colour of balance, energy, and unity. This colour is linked to our emotions and is the colour of joy. Orange is a good colour for putting your life back together after divorce, grieving, or shock. Orange improves blood circulation and digestion, stimulates the appetite, and is associated with the assimilation of food. Orange foods are high in anti-oxidants that help to destroy toxic cells and repair some cellular damage.
This colour is thought to lower the risk of some types of cancers, improve vision, maintain a healthy heart, and contribute to a healthy immune system. Orange coloured foods contain varying amounts of anti-oxidants such as vitamin C as well as carotenoids and bioflavonoids, phytochemicals being studied by scientists for their health promoting potential.
4) WINGS
Buffalo only (buffalo sauce makes everything orange)
*Salmon is another food that appears orange after you cook it
5) Fruits & Vegetables (b/c not everyone eats pizza & wings?)
Orange Fruits and Vegetables
Carotenoids are the powerful phytochemical in orange foods, and they are what give the foods their color. Carotenoids repair DNA and help prevent cancer and heart disease, as well as strengthening our vision. These orange foods also give us the right amount of vitamin A, which keeps our eyes and skin healthy, and protects against infections. They are also known to boost the immune system.

Also, Orange bell peppers
Orange habanero peppers (hot)
Orange tomatoes
*Certain flavors of hummus can be orange as well
6) Cheese (Not yellow, ORANGE)
I’m no expert on cheeses but I do know the following are orange:
Cheddar & Colby
If you're looking to have cheese at your party just go to the store & pick the orange ones.
7) Chips & Snack foods
Sweet Potato chips – also available as tortilla chips
Nacho Cheese Doritos – Orange & tasty
Any Cheetos – Again orange & tasty
Cheese Balls/puffs – I think there are even SU themed containers
*Using your basic red & yellow food coloring, you can make almost anything orange. (one drop goes a long way) There are also certain colored food sprays that are sold for cake decoration but they could probably be used on other foods as well.
8) Candy
Only orange M&Ms depending on where you live you may be able to get the individual colored bags at your local party store, as well as local candy shop @ the mall (ie Sweet Factory)
If you’re really ambitious you can separate the candy yourself & only put out the orange. M&Ms, Peanut M&Ms & orange Reece’s Pieces make a tasty orange combo.
Also, if you like non-chocolate candy you can use orange skittles, jelly beans & starburts just to name a few. (http://www.sweetfactory.com/candy-by-color/orange.html)
9) Dessert
Orange Creamsicles
Orange Ice pops
Orange sherbet
Carrot Cake
Rice krispies treat footballs (acceptable b/c they are football themed)
My wife made these for the super bowl last year & they were a big hit. The recipe calls for Cocoa Rice Krispies but I’m going to ask her to try to use the regular & add some orange food coloring (I’ll post a picture if it’s successful)

10) Attire
Orange clothing is a must!
If anyone plans to wear a jersey (yes I know they’re Blue or White) that is acceptable as long as you have on something with additional orange too.

Also, pinstriped suits are allowed for this special occasion as long as the tie or shirt are orange
