The Syracuse Ice Hockey team lost 4-1 on Tuesday. Fair enough, considering they were playing the No. 1 team in the nation, Cornell. Plus the Orange have a freshman in goal, which must have been a daunting task.
Credit that freshman, though, for going above and beyond in the call of duty. Because aside from those four goals that went in, Cornell also took 57 other shots. 57 shots that freshman goaltender Kallie Billadeau turned away en route to a new Syracuse single-game record.
The Orange are now 6-7-2 but you have to believe that, with Kallie in goal, they're heading in the right direction.
Here's to you, Kallie Billadeau. A Real Orange Hero.
