The Orange slide up one spot in both polls to No. 4 thanks to Texas' free-fall this week. Undefeated Kentucky is your unanimous No. 1, while Kansas and Villanova complete the top four.
Depending on who you ask, tonight's opponent Georgetown is either a top ten team (No. 7 in AP) or just outside of it (No. 11 in Coaches). One thing is for sure, however, Michigan State is ranked higher than Texas despite the fact that they lose head-to-head and have more losses. Science!
West Virginia (9/9), Pitt (17/17) and UConn (19/19) round out the Big East appearances. Shockingly, North Carolina is no longer ranked. I was pretty sure it was gonna take ten losses for that to happen.
The Orange remain a 1-seed in the SB Nation Bracketology, joined by Villanova this week. In fact, the Orange are a clear No. 1 across The Bracket Matrix in general.
