It's Bill O'Brien, a guy Marrone worked with at Georgia Tech prior to taking over as quarterbacks coach for the Patriots. This season, after Josh McDaniels departed for Denver, O'Brien took over as play-caller in New England. The results were mixed, at best.

Jones leaves the Orangemen with a record for interior lineman with 38.5 Tackles for loss. When healthy, he was considered among the top candidates coming out but I imagine with all the surgeries and injuries, his stock had taken a dramatic hit. Depending on how far he falls in the draft, he may be worth some consideration.

A win is a win is a win, and adding another Top-10 victory to the resume is never something to sneeze at. But this probably should've been a lot easier.

When is a conference not really a conference? When there is no reward for the winner. That is the current state of the Big East men’s lacrosse conference, which will debut this season with seven teams - Syracuse, Georgetown, Notre Dame, Providence, Rutgers, St. John’s and Villanova. Without an automatic qualifier to the 16-team Division I NCAA Tournament field this season, the conference will basically go through a dress rehearsal, with each team playing a six-game round-robin league schedule.
