I can't remember the last time the Quest-O-Meter was pointing in a positive direction. In fact, I'm not even sure it ever has. And yet...here we are. We've come so far in such a short amount of time and there's still a lot of football left to play. The road to Toronto is not for the faint of heart. But we can do this. We can walk that path to glory. To...Canada.
The journey has even taken on a more urgent feel now that we know the Big East will be sending a team to the Yankee Bowl, possibly as soon as next season. That means that this might very well be the final time the Quest for Toronto can be sought.
The Yankee Bowl basically replaces the International Bowl in the Big East lineup, which will now consist of the Champs Sports, Meineke Car Care, Papajohns.com and St. Petersburg bowls in addition to the New York City game.
The dream cannot die without Syracuse tasting it's maple-y goodness just once. Now, more than ever, Syracuse football must reach down deep and perform whatever miracles it must to ensure that its season culminates in Ontario, Canada. It is the will of the Gods.
