The Orange have new recruit to add the 2010 football list.  Donnie Webb reports that Xaverian High School WR/LB/SS Mario Tull has verbally committed to the Orange.  Tull just completed his junir year at the school, which is located in Brooklyn.

You can thank John Anselmo for recruiting Tull, who said he wasn't about to let the opportunity to play at SU pass him by:

"They were the only school really interested in me," Tull said of Syracuse. "I didn't want to let an opportunity like that go to a waste. I wanted to hold onto it, which is why I committed."

Mario's not kidding about the lack of interest.  Scout rates him a one-star player and Rutgers was the only other school on his list, having hosted Tull at their camp recently.  Rivals doesn't even give him so much as a star, which is very mean.

Tull is looking forward to bulking up to play whatever he's asked to play.  He's certainly got options.  He's played wide receiver, linebacker, kick returner and cornerback.  You can check out his stats here.

The SU Football Recruiting Map has been updated to denote Mario's commitment.
