Bud's got some soundbites from Tremendous Doug Marronee finishing up his Whistlestop Tour of the Northeast (and Los Angeles). I dare you to come away from it not feeling like Syracuse will be the national champion by 2011. (Feeling like it, at least):
"I tell the players we sign: 'My job is to get better players than you.' If you're my starting quarterback, I'm trying to recruit a better quarterback. If you're my starting wide receiver, I'm trying to recruit a better wide receiver. Now, me as an athlete? I'd sit there and say, 'Hey, Coach, you can sign anybody you want. There's nobody you'll be bringing in who's going to be better than me.' That's when you start getting a good football team."
