With the NCAA Tourney approaching and Syracuse's return to it imminent, it's time to start thinking about what's really important...how you can reap financial gain and worldwide recognition from this. The financial gain part is up to your prowess (or dumb luck) in the office pool this year. As for the worldwide recognition, here's something that might help.
Coke Zero is looking to feature college basketball fan videos in a national commercial that will run before the national championship game on April 6th. They've run something similar in the past but this one is going to be chocked full of fan videos instead of being professional produced.
If you check out their site, you'll see that there's plenty of videos from schools like Notre Dame, UConn, West Virginia and St. John's. But there are NO Syracuse videos. THIS MUST BE REMEDIED QUICKLY.
If you've got a video up on YouTube or a great photo from one of the SU games, submit it NOW. Don't care if it's a video about Sour Sitrus or your friend with full-on bodypaint or even just that time you looked at Eric Devendorf and he looked back at you and you locked eyes for a second but that moment passed and flitted away forever. That works too!
Syracuse fans need to be included in this ad. It's a moral imperative. We cannot have a St John's video in there and let people think they still have an actual basketball program while programs like SU sit idly by. We must promote Syracuse and if we must help Coke Zero sell a couple more bottles to do it, so be it. I'm sure DOCTOR Gross would approve.
