Andy & Arinze, Come Out And Play

Syracuse fans have waited patiently (or possibly not-so) for word that Andy Rautins and Arinze Onuaku would be ready to go for tomorrow's huge "must-winnish" game against West Virginia.  The news?  So-so...Donna Ditota spoke with both:

I spoke with both of Syracuse's walking wounded last night before practice. Andy Rautins indicated he would probably play against West Virginia on Wednesday. Arinze Onuaku was a little less sure about his status.

Both players practiced on Saturday and on Monday (Sunday was an off-day). Both of them looked fairly mobile -- Rautins in particular looked agile and unaffected by the ankle sprain. Onuaku looked better than he did against Providence.

Rautins said his injured ankle was "still a little bit swollen, but I should be able to play. Try to at least."

I was feeling good about Andy until he said "try." "Try" doesn't sound too promising.  "Try" sounds like you'll give it a whirl but its not feeling good you'll take a seat on the bench and let Kristof! start shooting threes at will.

Ugh.
