Brush Up On Your Senegalese

2010 just got a whole lot more Baye Moussa Keita.

The Senegal-born 6-foot-10 junior from Oak Hill Academy
will play for the Orange in two years, according to his coach:
"As a player, he's probably a little bit ahead of all of them,'' Smith said Tuesday. "He's a legit 6-10, he runs like a deer and he's very skilled. He's going to be a very good player.''
What kind of crazy place is Senegal where they have 6-10 deer? I have found my nightmare fuel for this evening.

Keita joins C.J. Fair and Dion Waiters as 2010 freshmen. According to
his profile on Oak Hill's website, his favorite food is burgers (fine), his favorite TV show is MTV (hmm...) and his favorite sports team is the Utah Jazz. I didn't realize Senegal was a Jazz-related DMA market.

It's also worth noting Keita's teammate is Doron Lamb, another player high on SU's list and the 21st best-rated player of 2010. If this is the move that snags him from UConn, so be it.

(Here's an interesting site with some background on Keita)
