Cause It's Been A Couple Weeks Since Someone Got Kicked Off The Team

The week doesn't really start until someone does a little conduct detrimental to the team. And so, let's kick off Syracuse Football Media Day the only way we know how...with some negative news!
Missing today and for the foreseeable future will be senior kicker John Barker, who has been suspended indefinitely for "conduct detrimental to the team." Head coach Greg Robinson informed the players of his decision during a team meeting Sunday evening. Barker made eight of 12 field-goal tries as a walk-on freshman in 2005 and was used last season as a holder and a "pooch" punter. One of his four punts traveled 71 yards.
Of course, when the best thing you can say about the guy is how far one of his punts traveled, you realize he's not exactly Mike Williams, Part II. Good day to you, John Barker. But believe it or not, it's not all bad news to kick off the day. We're actually getting a player's almost like a prisoner exchange.
...sophomore defensive lineman Andrew Lewis will be back in uniform and ready to go. Lewis, who played in 11 games last season as a reserve and made eight tackles, left school in January due to academics.
See Mike Williams, they really do let you back in. Just in case you were wondering... Plenty more Media Day stuff to come...
