If you live in the D.C. Area and are wondering where to watch the Lacrosse Final Four this weekend, wonder no longer. The SU Alumni Club of Washington D.C. is sponsoring a Final Four-watching party at the Rhino Bar and Pumphouse, which upon visiting their website, Guns'N'Roses' "Welcome to the Jungle" starts playing, so you know you'll be in good hands.Many of their frosty beverages and finger foods will be specially-priced, including 8 dollar domestic pitchers, 3 dollar domestic bottles, 3 dollar rail drinks and 25 cent wings. The only other thing you'll need to do is spot them a ten buck at the door. Why? Cause we're not just here to watch Syracuse kick some ass...we're here to raise some money for charity too.
The event, which runs from 12 pm-5 pm on Saturday, will have a cover charge of $10 at the door - and all of it will go toward charity! Eighty percent of the money will go toward fighting breast cancer, and the remaining 20 percent will go toward the Tewaaraton Award Foundation - a non-profit lacrosse foundation.
In addition to the games, there will also be chances to win Washington D.C. Bayhawks lacrosse tickets and tickets to the Tewaaraton Award presentation (a prize worth more than $250 each). Considering there's a very good chance at least one SU athlete will win a Tewaaraton (Let's call them Waarties for short), that's a sweet prize.
