Someone Needs To Start A Support Group Or Something

Reaction to last night's game from around the 'Cusian blogosphere:

The Axeman
Everything that went wrong with this team all season showed up in the last 14:39 of the game as UMass made a comeback for the ages and went on to win 81-77. In a season where anything could and did happen, does it really surprise a soul that Syracuse blew a 22-point lead in the last game of the 2007-08 season to send Orange fans into the long off-season with a very sour taste in their mouths?

Giving 111 Percent
Instead of being a welcome relief from the relentlessly painful football program, the Syracuse basketball team has given us fans several kicks to the nether region. Torn ACLs, then last second losses to Georgetown, UConn, Pittsburgh. The home losses to URI and UMass. The no-show at South Florida. Relentless ball bashing...As a man myself, the pain is just eerily parallel to the sting of this Syracuse basketball season. Just as the fellas start descending from one’s stomach, just as you get comfortable, bam! Right to the babymakers.

Three Idiots on Sports
I've never seen a team miss more dunks, lay ups and get stripped going to the rim than this one. I can't believe I'm going to say this because it sounds like something an old grumpy guy will say (I'll get there someday) but this team has the "let's make the top 10 plays on Sportscenter" mentality rather than the "we will grind you down and crush your soul" mentality.

Sports Night with Howie Mansfield, Syracuse fans can start to get the ugly feeling out of their stomachs. The season that might have been, could have been and should have been, was a nightmare. Now we can wake up.

As for UMass, this was such an impressive win by them, even their
football bloggers can't stop talking about it. Yes, that's a UMass-football-specific blog.
