Regardless Of Tonight's Outcome, Mamas Still Expected To Be Hoyas

We can keep putting it off and putting it off but sooner or later we're going to have to play Georgetown. Might as well get it over with.

The Hoyas host the Orange tonight and the timing could either horrible for SU. Syracuse (13-6, 3-3) has lost three of its last four while #5 G'town (14-2, 4-1) rebounded from their loss to Pittsburgh with a sound win over Notre Dame on Saturday.

The good news is that the Orange have won seven of the last eight against the Hoyas. The bad news is that there isn't a player on the court tonight for SU that had anything to do with that. Oh and then there's this Hibbert character:

Hibbert has reached the 20-point mark in two of his last three games, but he's averaging just 8.5 points and 9.2 rebounds in four career games versus the Orange. He had six points and two boards in the then-No. 9 Hoyas' 72-58 road loss to Syracuse on Feb. 26 in the most recent meeting.

The Hoyas' 15-game home winning streak is on the line and it's going to take a tough, physical game from the Orange to end it. They're going to have to keep turnovers and fouls to a minimum. They're going to have to make every offensive possession count. They're going to have to keep pace with the Hoyas on the rebounding front.

Yeah, doesn't look good. But hey, it's Syracuse-Georgetown and you have to throw out all the records and stats for this one, right? RIGHT? Cause I'm looking at the records and the stats and they don't look good. Let the learning continue...

Prediction: Georgetown 79, Syracuse 70
Prediction #2: After being pulled from the game and yelled at, Paul Harris will snap and maul three small children in the crowd before being tasered.
Prediction #3: Jim Boeheim will be unhappy with Harris' effort in said mauling.

In the interest of good feelings, let's try to remember what happened last time these two teams met on Big Monday:
