We Can't Lose This Weekend

Get it? Cause it's a bye week. We don't play! Therefore...oh forget it. My grandfather loves it but it's lost on you...

Team: Pittsburgh
Record:
3-4
Last Week:
Defeated Cincy 24-17
How Fucked Are We?: More-so than last week. Is Pittsburgh not as bad as its record or was Cincinnati not as good as is? Perhaps a little of both, perhaps neither. I have no clue. All I know is, they are gonna keep Wannstadt as far as humanly possible from the field. Maybe this is really a championship team but Wannstadt is a walking curse. A lot of things make sense now.
This Week: The Panthers have to tangle with up-and-down Louisville this week before they get to us. Which Cardinals team will show up? Hell, which Panther team will?

Team:
#11 South Florida
Record:
6-1
Last Week:
Lost to Rutgers 27-30
How Fucked Are We?:
Team Icarus comes back down to the land of the double-digit rankings but probably not for long. There really isn't a game left on their schedule they should lose and if a couple things fall right (and Hawaii gets the hell out of here), they could still play in a BCS game (and maybe even win the conference). We're just a bump in the road.
This Week:
The Bulls head to Storrs to take on the way-too-frisky Huskies. The Bulls are pissed and they're looking forward to being the ones doing the exposing this time.

Team: UConn
Record:
6-1
Last Week:
Defeated Louisville 21-17
How Fucked Are We?: That's the Ranked-in-the-BCS UConn Huskies, thank you very much. I gotta say, every time I count these guys out they surprise me. They're gritty, plucky and all that other stuff, but unfortunately for them they're about to run into a better team. Oh, and I haven't forgotten they should have lost to Temple. But yeah, we're probably fucked against them.
This Week: The extremely ticked-off South Florida Bulls comes to town. UConn can begin making its reservations for Toronto.

Team:
Cincinnati
Record:
6-2
Last Week:
Lost to Pitt 17-24
How Fucked Are We?:
While we're probably fucked, I'm very disappointed in the Bearcats. They had a spot at the big boy's table all wrapped up and they let is slip away. With the Big East the way it is this year, and their upcoming schedule the way it is (USF and WVU on tap), they're looking at table scraps.
This Week: The Bearcats get the week off to prepare for South Florida. Probably a good thing.
