I Thought Felonious Huskies Only Came From UConn

The Orange open their season against the Washington Huskies in 22 days, but it looks like their opponent might be down a senior cornerback.

University of Washington senior cornerback Jordan Murchison was absent from practice Wednesday, and Huskies coach Tyrone Willingham announced that Murchison had been charged with a felony, and that the player's future with the team is unclear. According to the King County Jail Inmate Lookup Service, he was booked for failure to appear on a second-degree assault and is being detained with bail set at $10,000.

Missing your court date is just dumb, and I can excuse Murchy (#16 on the left in happier times) on the grounds of stupidity for that. But what of this
second-degree assault charge?

King County records show Murchison was arrested after assaulting a man at a Seattle residence March 31. Murchison suspected the man of showing interest in his girlfriend. The victim was reported to have suffered damaged teeth that would require "several" dental procedures to fix, and that he lost one tooth and would probably lose several more.

Yeah, that one I'm not letting slide. Sorry we won't see you on the 31st, Jordan. Have fun regretting this for the rest of your life.
