Mike Jones, he formerly of Syracuse and formerly of South Carolina is getting his learn on at Indian Hills Community College in Des Moines, Iowa. Jones' scholarship at South Carolina was not renewed as he failed to meet "certain standards" assumed to be academic. He previously left the Orange because he was homesick, with lack of playing time likely factoring in.
Jones averaged 21 points and 10 rebounds his senior year of high school and his new coach say "he's ready to show he can do what it takes." For Jones' sake, I hope so.
