Well it didn't take long for defending national champ Virginia to come crashing back down to Earth. The winners of 17 straight, #1 Virginia lost to the unranked Drexel Dragons 11-10 when Drexel scored two goals in the final ten seconds. For non-lax followers, its basically the basketball equivalent of, well, Drexel beating Florida in Gainesville on back-to-back three pointers with seconds left on the clock.
So, the Cavaliers tumble down the Inside Lacrosse Poll (courtesy of Orange44), allowing Johns Hopkins to slide into the top spot. Syracuse, who didn't beat Hobart 13-11 inasmuch as they survived them, moved up to the #2 spot. Princeton, Georgetown and Maryland round out the top 5. You can see the entire poll here.
