The Countdown To The International Bowl Begins

Finally, we're getting through these meaningless games between two woulda-coulda-shouldas and some unknown from Idaho and getting down to the real deal in bowl season. That's right, we're only four days away from the Grandaddy of Them All That Take Place Outside American Borders, The International Bowl, between Western Michigan and Cincinnati. I know where I'll be Saturday night...on the edge of my couch. Of course, that's no different than most of my Saturday nights, but that's neither here nor there.

There's so much to talk about in college football I think I'll skip the obvious (USC's imminent return to domination, Boise State heroics, USC cheerleader asses), although I will point you to this version of the Boise State highlights complete with "creepy camcorder guy alone in his apartment-vision."

How bout that Big East? Louisville will try to keep the conference undefeated when they take on Wake Forest in the
Orange Bowl. The Cardinals will actually be playing for Rutger's honor as they'll try to take out the team that stole the Scarlet Knight's thunder for breakout seasons...and the Coach of the Year award (I'm just being a homer, Wake Forest had a great year...for an ACC team....OH!!!)

If you trust SportsQuant and their
bowl predictions (and judging by the results, you probably shouldn't), L'ville should walk away with this one. Nice to see they think Cincy will complete the Big East Bowl sweep as well. That's about it from me, can't think of anything else I'd like to...oh alright...I can't resist...
