The Syracuse Orange football team landed a commitment from Colton Moskal, a middle linebacker from Lake Zurich High School in Illinois, over the weekend.
Moskal, a three-star recruit according to Rivals' and 247 Sports, is the fourth recruit to be added to the Class of 2014. He will join Zaire Franklin as an incoming linebacker. According to Syracuse.com's Michael Cohen, Franklin had been reaching out to Moskal over the past few weeks to try and persuade the 6-foot-1, 215-pound recruit to come to SU.
A job well done.
Moskal chose SU over scholarship offers from Cincinnati, Minnesota, Western Michigan, Northern Illinois and Central Michigan. Four-star quarterback A.J. Long and running back Naesean Howard are the other two recruits that have made a verbal commitment to play football at Syracuse.
In another recruiting news, it seems like the Orange missed out on three-star tight end Trey Klock, who chose soon-to-be ACC foe Georgia Tech.
