USA TODAY Sports

Georgia offensive lineman Alex Hayes officially signs with Syracuse.

Georgia is one of the best football states in the nation, so when a big bruising lineman from down there wants to play for your team, you listen.

Stat Me: Hayes' high school team rushed for nearly 3200 yards this season.

Seein' Stars: Scout - 2*, Rivals - 2*, 247 - 3*, ESPN - 3*

Who's Crying?: ECU, Georgia State, Tulane, Wake Forest, UCF

Money Quote:

The ACC play is a big, a big part in why I am making my decision. Syracuse football has always been known, but it hasn’t ever been talked about in the top (ranks). Everybody talks about the SEC. Well I think with me and the guys coming in, and the guys that are already here, we can make a big impact and take this program to a new horizon.

Which SU Coach Gets a Bonus?: Rivals has Rob Moore listed as his recruiter.

Fun Fact: Hayes was actually a three sport star in high school. The big man played basketball and threw shot put as well.
