Three new faces added to football recruiting staff

Head football coach Dino Babers announced this morning that the program would be adding three new faces to their recruiting staff: Kramer Cook, Seth Reedy, and Steve Schrum.

Cook, now part of the quality control team, graduated from the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire in 2012 with a bachelor's degree in psychology and a minor in coaching. He followed that up with two master's degrees in sports administration ('14) and management specialization ('15) from Robert Morris University while working as a graduate assistant mentor for the defensive line and kickers. After graduating from RMU, he became the senior recruiting and technology intern at Coastal Carolina University for a year before being promoted to the recruiting and tech analyst position.

Reedy, now a recruiting assistant and graphic designer, graduated from the University of North Florida in 2014 with a bachelor's in sport management. His first position out of college was an operations assistant for the Arena Football League's Jacksonville Sharks that spring. He then moved on to be the director of recruiting and communication for Appalachian State from 2014-16 while also managing the student volunteer program. This summer, he held a similar position at Southern Mississippi, developing all of the graphic design content for social media, recruiting, and facilities.

Schrum, another new member of the quality control team, graduated from the University of Florida with a bachelor's in history and political science in 2014. While attending classes at UF, he interned with the Gators' football program as an assistant to WR coach Joker Phillips from 2012-14. He also worked as a personnel intern for the Baltimore Ravens during the summers of 2010, 2012, and 2014 between school years. From August 2014 through March 2015, Schrum was an assistant recruiting coordinator at Towson University, held a similar position at Northwestern University from March 2015 through August 2016, and finally worked at the same job at Akron University up until his hiring here at Syracuse. At Akron, he managed the recruiting database, wrote pitch letters to recruits, screened high school prospects, and filed various expense forms for the recruiting staff.
