Today, Scott Shafer held his final press conference of the week before Friday night's opener against Rhode Island. Let's find out what he had to say...
First of all, if you had "ass" as the first curse word Shafer would use in the 2015 season, you win.
Shafer: "We're focused on kicking some ass against Rhode Island."

If only he were chewing bubble gum and holding a shotgun while saying it (R.I.P., Roddy).
Shafer is nervous about this weekend but according to him his nerves have more to do with son Wolfgang's first start as Ithaca's QB than with his own game.
"I'll be honest with you, I'm probably more nervous for his game than my game," Shafer said.
"I'm happy for him, proud of him. There was a point where he had a broken back where we didn't know he was going to be able to play anymore, and to see his growth and maturity … I'm excited for him.
"I want him to go out there and play the game for the love of the game and not worry about the outside things and just have fun."
Speaking about the running backs, Shafer dropped a note about No. 1 back Devante McFarlane that we didn't realize we needed to be aware of.
Shafer says Syracuse starting RB Devante McFarlane will be "dressed and ready to go" on Friday.

Was he....not going to be?
Shafer also mentioned freshman Jordan Fredericks (a.k.a. Fat Back), saying "I think he's ready to play. He knows the offense inside out. He's got a good football IQ, like a lot of our freshmen."
Ultimately, Shafer is just happy to start playing football again and put 2014 behind him.
"It's been a long wait," Shafer said. "Repression is a beautiful thing. I can't remember what happened last season. I can't wait to start the next chapter in Syracuse football.
"Happy to have our quarterback back, happy to see the team progressing well and just can't wait to get back on the field."
