Syracuse will travel to the Petersen Events Center and open its 2015-16 ACC slate against the Pittsburgh Panthers at 9 p.m. on Dec. 30, the ACC announced Wednesday. As part of the "ACC Tip-Off," the game will be televised on ESPN2 and will be preceded by a Clemson-North Carolina matchup.
Syracuse dropped both its meetings with the Panthers in 2014-15, including an 83-77 loss at Pittsburgh on Feb. 7. Their first game in 2015-16 will also be the Orange's first without head coach Jim Boeheim, who will be serving the beginning of his 9-game conference suspension. Assistant coach and head coach-designate Mike Hopkins will take over duties as head coach during Boeheim's suspension.
