Syracuse's non-conference basketball schedule is coming to form, as SU tries to strike the right balance between "you never leave New York" and "why would you over-schedule given the ACC slate?" With that, the latest opponent to be added to the docket is (or once was) familiar. Per CBS Sports' Jon Rothstein:
Syracuse will host St. Bonaventure on Tuesday 11/17/15 at the Carrier Dome, source told @CBSSports.

Once big rivals in the unwieldy ECAC, Syracuse's move to the Big East and college sports' football-driven revenue deluge ultimately ended the two teams playing on an annual basis. The Orange own a 23-3 advantage in the "rivalry," which was last contested in 2009 at the Carrier Dome. As you might recall, that game (an 85-72 SU win) was controversial due to the Bonnies' Andrew Nicholson punching Andy Rautins in the groin. At least in part, that incident has kept this one off the schedule ever since -- until this fall, anyway.

The addition of St. Bonaventure now has the Orange non-conference schedule sorting out like this:
November 17: St. Bonaventure Bonnies
November 25-27: Battle 4 Atlantis (Opponents TBD, but likely at least one of UConn/Texas/Michigan)
December 2: Wisconsin Badgers
December 13: at St. John's Red Storm
TBD: at Georgetown Hoyas
Very familiar foes all around, really. And that's before we even get into the ACC schedule. Now watch where you swing those fists this time, Bonnies...
