NBA teams are lining up to bring Rakeem Christmas in for private workouts following his strong showing at last week's draft combine, when he averaged 19.5 points per game in two 5-on-5 scrimmages.
According to Steve Pina, Christmas' agent, the former Syracuse Orange center has about 23 workout requests, too many for him to attend.
"He's not going to be able to do all of them," Pina told syracuse.com's Mike Waters. "We're going to have to cancel five or six."
Since the combine, Christmas has not only gained more attention from NBA teams. He's also skyrocketed up NBA draft boards. He's moved up from No. 56 to No. 34 in the latest mock draft on DraxtExpress.com, and ESPN's Chad Ford has him at No. 39 on his latest big board.
So far, Christmas has worked out for the Indiana Pacers and San Antonio Spurs. According to Pina, he'll also be working out for the Los Angeles Lakers, the Phoenix Suns, the Golden State Warriors, the Utah Jazz, and the Minnesota Timberwolves within the next week.
