I noticed that our team is not particularly full of tattoos this year (on his own, DaJaun Coleman being out lowers the team arms-to-tattoos ratio by 25%). In scanning through photos to see who does have a tattoo, I noticed a very particular one on Rakeem Christmas's left arm.
Here is a photo of Rak in the 2013 Final Four against Michigan (please bow your head in remembrance).
C. B. D.
There's a lot going on there, but in the center of it all there are 3 clear letters: C B D.
In fact, looking at old AP photos, just 2 years ago those three letters were about all he had on his left arm. For example, take a look at this photo from the March 2012 loss in the Elite Eight to Ohio State (and again, please bow your head in remembrance).
In that last photo there are also some words right below the letters. Is it Can't then Be? And the message totally trails off after the D.
So what does CBD stand for? Does anyone know, and have more back story?
Update! The answer: Can't Be Denied.
Possibly the best confirmation of this is on his Instagram feed bio he wrote "#CantBeDenied." Boom!
