No, of course not. But being a savvy blogger, I just used an inflammatory headline to get clicks.
Saturday's Orange win over the Blue Devils was an instant classic, literally. ESPNU has aired two encore presentations of the game less than 18 hours after the original. My question to you is, where does this epic showdown fall in the pantheon of great Syracuse games?
The competition? Obviously the 2003 national championship game is in the mix. Close contest, huge stakes and, of course, an Orange title at the end of it. The 6OT game is probably one of, if not THE, greatest basketball games of all time, at any level. Hell, it might even be in the discussion for greatest athletic contest in any sport. And, Keith Smart be damned, the 1987 national chamionship game was a good one, even if the Orangemen came up short.
So, what do you think? Vote in the poll and if there's a game I missed, leave it in the comments.
