After dropping $200 for a jersey and pair of shorts last week, that I'll likely never wear outside of my house, I felt a little stupid. But then I read the comments and realized I'm not the only apparel whore. I typically don't wear basketball jersey's but still can't help but buy every new thing Nike puts out. Shooting or warm-up shirts are much more my style.
Below is a look at a portion of my collection, which falls into four main categories; (1) basketball jerseys, (2) basketball shorts, (3) shooting shirts, (4) football jerseys. Some of this crap I've had for so long I don't even remember the exact year it was bought, please feel free to let me know if I labeled something wrong, and as collector (hoarder) of this stuff, I'd love to see what else people have in their own collections.
Basketball Jerseys (pretty sure you can click the pics)
Sherman Douglas - Home and Away throwbacks circa '04?; Moten - Nike '95; McNamara - '04? and '06; Nichols - '07; Harris '08; Melo black & gray alternates ~'05
The backs are just a number and no name unless otherwise shown
Basketball Shooting Shirts
Left to Right: '96, '99, 2000?, 2002?, and what is allegedly a "game worn" (or at least pre-game worn) Scoop shooting shirt. I bought it to wear because it was cheaper than buying a new one and it was about my size. Came with a fancy little authenticity card from Steiner if your into that.
Shorts to go with Douglas Jersey, 95 Authentic, 96 Replica, '06 home/road, '08?, '05 Melo, random Lax
Harrison, McNabb, Reyes.
I don't what the deal is with the #44 Morris. I picked it up on ebay. The description was pretty vague and the seller never responded to follow up questions.
