Tomorrow (actually today) against Pitt

Pitt always gives us problems, no matter where the game is being played. Typically, I would be prone to look at this game with a glass half empty type of mentality and say this will probably be the first loss of the year. But to me, there is just something about this team that separates them from teams in the past. I don't know what "it" is, but "it" is something pretty special. It's almost as if once they realize they're in trouble, and time is slipping away, they suddenly flip the switch and go on a 10-0, 12-0 run or something like that. I think this game will go something along those lines. I feel Pitt will control the glass, much like they've done in the past, but then with around 7-8 minutes left, Syracuse will force a few turnovers/bad shots, and go on one of those late second half runs to pull the game off, and win by 7-10 points. I expect a lower scoring (probably in the 50s) and somewhat sloppy game, where both teams turn the ball over a fair amount, leading to some good fast break opportunities. Jamie Dixon and his staff know the zone, so I'm sure turnovers won't be as big of a problem for them as they might be for a team seeing the zone for the first time. Plus, Pitt tends to always float someone up toward the top of the key for that 12-15 foot jump shot in the soft part of the zone. Final score: Syracuse 58, Pitt 51
