Two Things -Anyone Else feeling like.....

There will be no easy games this year - It is clear that every team is bringing their best at the Orange this year and so far Cuse has handled that but realistically 3 or 4 times - the opposition is going to get it right and knock them off. That was way too uncomfortable last night....and needless to say that leads to my second point - I really wish Pitt was in a different conference - I hate playing them and the Orange ALWAYS struggles in their building - the style of game the pace the just overall ugliness of playing them. Saturday should be the toughest test of the year although they lost a key guy on their bench. There is still no doubt that Cuse can play better and a more complete game - they have moments in each game that just make you want to scream - the final 2 minutes of the 1st half last night comes to mind - clearly a team will need to hit a ton of 3's as in double digits into the teens to have a legit shout - but it will take a similar approach to what BC offered - some foul trouble and inside play coupled with bombs...there will be more robust teams faced in the next weeks that will try to do just that....I am still amazed somewhat at the struggles at making layups this team has.....especially Grant - he had that one follow monster but the one the rim stuffed him on was bad and just the softness on the tips but anyway clearly he is a Pro and it is just a matter of when...Can't believe ESPNU kept replaying the same Cooney Dunk 3 or 4 times - was the game on a loop? all kidding aside what a gritty performance and nice bounceback from the tough shooting the other day. The bigs just need to do more and I really do want to see Mike G get more playing time - it seems impossible for him to get into a flow the way he is used - I get it Cooney and Ennis are good and ultimately we are better with them on the court but there should be more time for him. How many Cuse Blocks did the refs call fouls - gees don't anticipate the foul with our guys - they block shots!!! Alright that was more than 2 things but we only get so many chances to watch "our guys" and sometimes more than 2 things needs to be said. Seriously if there was one team you could select to replace Pitt with - who would it be - guessing most would say Georgetown - selfishly I would say UCONN so I living here in CT could see them in Hartford every other year....
