Time-Life has posted a series of photos from their archives of old photos from the history of College Football from the '30s, '40s, '50s and '60s. It is a pretty cool look into the past of college football, and this photo album actually has 2 Syracuse pictures. The first one is this:

This is an action shot from the 1960 Cotton Bowl between Texas and Syracuse. We all know the history of that game, both accurately and slightly fabricated from "The Express." This game gave us our only National Championship, and helped bring this man completely onto the national scene:

Ernie Davis on the sidelines during that 1960 Cotton Bowl. Davis was named MVP of the game, who had a rushing touchdown, a receiving touchdown and an interception returned for a touchdown. We all know Davis would win the Heisman Trophy 2 seasons later.
