Just caught this from the great recruiting blog Otto's World:
Isaiah Whitehead to announce college choice on Thursday. St. John's, Seton Hall, Minnesota, Pitt, and Indiana are the finalist.
It will be very interesting to see what school he ends up at. Oddly enough I'm rooting for Pitt. I think Whitehead is a special player and would arguably be the best recruit they've ever gotten - yes, better than Steven Adams.
We'd prob get to also see him at St. John's (do we have a game lined up with them for next year?) which would be fun - if he goes St. John's he's almost certainly a 1 and done.
It would be an enormous coup for Minnesota and Richie P Jr if they can pull it off.
I'm rooting against Indiana, mainly because Tom Crean has been kind of a weasel with his over-recruiting.
Seton Hall has to be the prohibitive dark horse in this conversation, although I do give Willard credit for getting consideration from some very good players.
