What Do You Name Your Syracuse-Themed Conference Rooms?

Anthony Gruppuso-US PRESSWIRE

I work at an online marketing software company and, like most start-uppy companies, there are no offices. Everyone sits at a desk. As a result, we have conference rooms spread out around the office space that you can book for meetings.

When we opened our latest office a few years ago, our CEO named all of the conference rooms after the last names of marketers that inspired him. Rooms have names things like:

  • Jobs (Steve)
  • Kawasaki (Guy)
  • Zuckerberg (Mark)
  • Goodman (Gail)
  • Godin (Seth)
...And so on. We just opened up some new office space in the building. This time around it's just for the software developers so the head of that team was responsible for naming the new conference rooms. He named them after iconic computer scientists and designers. Names like:
  • Kernighan (Brian Wilson)
  • Ritchie (Dennis MacAlistair)
  • van Rossum (Guido)

It got me thinking: If I were in charge of naming some new office space conference rooms, they would of course be Syracuse Orange themed. But what names would I choose?

Let's say you have 10 conference rooms to name. What Syracuse names would you choose?

I feel like there are at least 2 that are non-negotiable:

  • Boeheim
  • Gait

So who are the remaining 8?

And may I add that if we settle on Anthony, the room itself should actually be named Carmelo.
