Both the men's and women's Syracuse lacrosse teams advanced this weekend in its respective NCAA Tournaments. Here's a breakdown of the brackets.

Unlike last season, the top-seeded Syracuse Orange survived and advanced past the first round of the men's lacrosse NCAA Tournament on Sunday. The Orange's tough battle against Bryant setup a Elite 8 showdown with visiting Yale this Saturday, 3 p.m. ET on ESPN2.

The winner moves on to play either No. 4 North Carolina or No. 5 Denver (Sunday at noon ET on ESPNU) in the national semifinal, May 25, in Philadelphia. If the Orange do advance, they will be playing in the program's 27th lacrosse Final Four.

On the opposite side of the bracket, No. 3-seeded Ohio State will face-off against Cornell on Saturday (12:30 p.m. on ESPN2). The winner will advance to play either No. 7 Duke or No. 2 Notre Dame which square off Sunday at 2:30 p.m. on ESPNU.

Meanwhile, the women's bracket looks like this:

(1) Maryland vs. Duke winner AGAINST No. 4 Syracuse vs. No. 5 Florida winner

(3) North Carolina vs. Virginia winner AGAINST (7) Penn State vs. (2) Northwestern winner

National Semifinals on May 24.
