WHEN WILL IT END??!!!
A recent article from The Buffalo News reports that former SU head football coach Doug Marrone is not done exploiting his Syracuse connections. In a disloyal, contract-dishonoring move that should surprise no one, Marrone and staff have brought in eleven players, including two former Orange footballers, TE Nick Provo and CB Mike Holmes, to practice with the Buffalo Bills this week on a tryout basis.
Provo and Holmes will spend the week being coached at their respective positions by two of Marrone's former assistants at Cuse, Bills tight ends coach Greg Adkins and Bills defensive backs coach Donnie Henderson, along with the rest of Marrone's Orange-heavy Buffalo staff. Both players were undrafted out of Syracuse and are longshots to make the roster, but they'll at least have the advantage of having played under Marrone, and are trying out for spots at which the Bills currently have some need for depth.
Good luck to Nick and Mike!
