CJ Fair Will Decide Before NBA Deadline

Good move by young master Carl Fair Jr. He's going to disregard the NCAA's ridiculous rule, and take his time to make a thoughtful decision.

Mike Waters typed some stuff and I read it:

Fair can still enter the NBA draft as long as he does so prior to the NBA's April 28 deadline for early entries. Fair's father, Carl Sr., said Tuesday night that his son would make a decision prior to the NBA's April 28 deadline. The only difference is that now Fair will not be able to change his mind once he declares.

The NCAA's early deadline is a relatively new rule, which was instituted in 2011. It has created a lot of confusion because it seems to run contrary to the NBA's early entry deadline. The NCAA deadline hurts players, especially ones like Fair who helped Syracuse to the NCAA's Final Four, because it decreases the amount of time a player has to collect information about their draft status.

The NCAA is a marching band.
