Syracuse Orange fans are eager to find out what kind of point guard they'll be getting next year in Tyler Ennis. The freshman is basically locked in to starting for SU as it's only true point guard on the roster in 2013.
At the Jordan Brand Classic over the weekend, Ennis scored 14 points, dished six assists, grabbed five rebounds and garnered four steals in the Barclays Center.
One person on hand who's opinion matters to Syracuse fans is New York Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony, who liked what he saw...
"I like the guy that’s going to Syracuse, Ennis," Anthony told SNY.tv. "He’s good. A lot of the young kids, they wouldn’t be here if they didn’t do what they was doing."
Told that Ennis projects to be the starting point guard next year for the Orange, Anthony said:
"I hope so. We’re gonna see what [Syracuse coach Jim] Boeheim does. You know how Boeheim do sometimes."
We do know how Boeheim do. We're hoping Ennis do what he do, too.
